The Xerox WorkCentre 6015 is a reliable multifunction printer that can copy and scan, and the 6025ni model also includes faxing, ethernet, and Wi-Fi support. At speeds of only 15 pages per minute for monochrome projects and 12 pages per minute for color, the 6015 is a tad slow for a home office laser device. Despite its slower speeds and expensive replacement Xerox 6015 printer toner, however, it is a well-rounded machine that will fit well in home offices.

The unit can support a maximum monthly duty cycle of up to 30,000 pages, but it has a recommended total of 1,500 sheets that will only support low volumes. Its paper handling is fairly limited, with only a 150-sheet main input tray and 10-page bypass tray. Connection options are also basic, including only a USB port for the base model as opposed to versatile networking in the 6015ni model that allows it to be shared on a wired or wireless network.

Despite its simplistic design, the unit includes an intuitive management system including email alerts when WorkCentre 6015 toner is running low, and PrintingScout Alert Notifications on projects. It also has color tools like Pantone to ensure solid graphics and images. The device is well-reviewed for output, producing a maximum print resolution of 1200x2400 dpi using black and color WorkCentre 6015 toner. Duplicates are created with a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi.

For the cost of genuine replacements, its 1,000-page color supplies and 2,000-page black Xerox 6015 toner cartridges may become expensive over time. Third-party vendor sites offer optional remanufactured Xerox 6015 toner cartridges that are a fraction of the price of genuine versions while still maintaining a sharp output. Since the device uses a 4-supply system, users will be able to replace cyan, magenta, yellow and black toners individually.

The 6015 has a good package of features that will work for low-volume home offices, but it's neither the fastest nor least expensive in its class. However, its crisp and consistent output quality and all-in-one capabilities make this color laser printer worth consideration.
