Xerox 740 Printer Review
The Xerox Phaser 740 color laser printer is designed to provide smaller offices with reliable performance and professional quality. Though it may not print as quickly as some other devices on the market, it makes up for that with its quality and built-in features. The 740 is certainly not the best toner printer out there, nor would it be considered innovative, but for low-budget, low-volume offices, it may be the best value. There is also a variation, the Xerox Phaser 740L that comes as a monochrome laser printer but can be turned into a color unit with the purchase of a kit.
There are four Xerox 740 toner cartridges in this unit which are filled cyan, magenta, yellow and black printer toner. The color Xerox toner cartridges have a page yield of 5,000 pages while the black Phaser 740 toner cartridge maxes out at 6,000 pages. Up to 16 pages per minute can be printed in black, while only 5 pages per minute can be produced in full color. However, using either the black or color Xerox 740 toner, a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi can be reached. Colors from toner are never as bright and brilliant as Xerox ink printers like the Xerox 8560 ink printer.
If the standard page yields are not enough, high capacity Phaser 740 toner is available that can yield 10,000 pages in color and 12,000 pages for black. These toners were produced so growing companies could still use the 740 if printing volume increased. Remanufactured versions of the high capacity and standard capacity Xerox 740 toner are also available. These will save users a lot of money while still maintaining the same quality and lasting for the same number of prints.
Software that is provided with the machine provides automatic calibration and correction of images and graphics. There is also software that allows users to track page counts, media types and get progress reports on prints at their computer.

Products eligible for quantity discounts can be tabulates as follows: Count all compatible and remanufactured ink or toner cartridges, plus individual item quantities in bundle.

Warranty for Compatible/Remanufactured Products
Based on our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, we will accept returns of compatible or remanufactured ink and toner cartridges for full credit if the returned product has a valid return authorization number and is received in our warehouse within 6 months of the original shipping date. If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.
We will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
