However, if your office requires color capabilities, this laser printer will not work because it is a monochrome device with only a black Samsung toner cartridge. It has a built-in automatic document feeder for added convenience as well as an optional ethernet connection and wireless networking. As a multi-purpose device, the SCX-4520 can print, scan and copy. It does lack faxing capabilities, which could be a deterrent for some, though it is a somewhat outdated form of communication. The OEM versions come directly from the manufacturer and tend to be overpriced. However, remanufactured Samsung SCX-4520 toner is available from third party vendors. These toners have the same quality and yield, but these are less than half the price.

Up to 20 pages per minute can be printed or copied, and it only takes about 20 seconds for the first page to be produced. The fast speeds and affordable cost of maintenance make the SCX-4520 a good choice.
