The Samsung CLX-3305 is the base model in a series of laser printers, which also includes the CLX-3305W with wireless connectivity, the CLX-3305FS with a fax function, and the CLX-3305FN with both faxing and networking capabilities. The CLX-3305 is tested to be one of the slower units in its class, printing at a maximum of 18 pages per minute for monochrome documents and only 4 pages per minute for color. While the base model is the least expensive model in its series, it has a basic design that could push buyers to spend a little more for a unit that has a wider range of features.

The device measures at 16x14x13 inches and incorporates a letter-size flatbed scanner, a copier and printer in one machine. The front panel is designed to provide quick access to simple control features like a One-touch Print Screen button, a button for the Eco print mode, and a USB port that users can directly scan documents to or print from, even without a PC. Toners can also be closely monitored with its LED alert lights.

One complaint from expert reviewers is that the CLX-3305 has a limited paper supply of only 150 pages, which could make it a poor fit for small office use and better suited for homes. However, users have the convenience of a 40-sheet automatic document feeder that will easily handle large scan jobs.

From its output quality problems to its slower speeds and low paper capacity, the CLX-3305 is one of the low-end models in its class. Additional models in its series are a slight improvement, but home and small office buyers should look elsewhere for a competent all-in-one color laser device unless their needs are very limited.
