Offering ethernet and parallel support, it will be simple to hook up and get started, and the installation process is a breeze. Windows and Mac operating systems are both supported, and drivers and utilities are included upon purchase. Envelopes, labels, plain paper, cards and transparencies can all be printed on, and each look great using Ricoh AP3800 toner.

One black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow Aficio AP3800 toner cartridge will be needed for printing, and these toners are easy to find and replace. The color printer toner will last for 10,000 pages, and the black Ricoh AP3800 toner will last you 20,000 pages. Compared to similar models on the market, these will last you much longer. Using the black or color Aficio AP3800 toner, resolutions as high as 1200x1200 dpi are possible, which will leave your documents with high quality print after print.

Using the Ricoh AP3800 toner, up to 38 pages can be created each minute. These speeds are quite good for a laser printer and will most likely keep up with your office well—you won't find yourself waiting by this machine. It duplex printing feature is optional, so if you desire that, you will have to add it later for an additional cost. Upon purchase, 64 MB of memory comes standard. However, if you need more memory you can add that as well, up to 284 MB.

The AP3800 weighs 181 pounds, so for its size, it is very heavy. However, two people should be able to move it if needed. Its dimensions of 22.7x26.7x28.2 inches will be easy enough to place on a desk or table, though. All around, though it has a few negatives, the AP3800 is a reliable product.
