The four Ricoh 2238c toner cartridges that are used during operation contain cyan, magenta, yellow and black printer toner. The Aficio 2238c toner has the ability to create a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi for black-and-white prints and 1200x1200 dpi in color. When using only the black Ricoh 2238c toner, more than 30 pages per minute can be produce. However, when printing with the color printer toner, only about 25 pages per minute can be produced.

Replacement Ricoh 2238c toner can be easily found online or in office supplies stores. They are reasonably priced, but for offices with a tight budget, less expensive alternatives are available. Remanufactured Aficio 2238c toner cartridges are produced by third party vendors. They come with a guarantee to deliver the same high quality and capacity, but for about half the price as OEM versions.
