The Okidata C7500 is a wonderful color laser printer for medium offices. Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris operating systems are all compatible, making it a versatile and ready to go no matter what system your office uses. USB, parallel and Ethernet connections are offered, and a wide variety of types and sizes of media are compatible with the machine too. It comes standard with an automatic document feeder, but duplex printing is not offered. A slightly less expensive printer with similar specifications by Oki to consider is the
Oki C3200 toner printer.
This machine uses four Okidata C7500 toner cartridges. There are 4
Oki toner cartridges: cyan, magenta, yellow and black. All of the Oki C7500 toner can print about 10,000 pages, which will last for a long time. Even though the price tag on the printer toner seems high, the cost per page is very inexpensive. Using the Okidata C7500 toner, resolutions of up to 1200x600 dpi are possible. This will leave documents looking sharp, elite and professional. For photos and graphics, this will be an exceptional machine.
It works quite fast too. When printing in black-and-white, up to 26 pages per minute can be printed. Using Oki C7500 toner cartridges, color printing takes about 24 pages per minute. The first page out for color and monochrome prints are 9 seconds and 8 seconds, respectively. Though these speeds may not seem fast compared to
ink cartridge printers, for a laser unit, these speeds are quite fast. Also, up to 100,000 pages can be produced each and every month. Many medium to large sized offices won't even hit that many pages each month.
Though the cost per page is low, many may still find the upfront price of the Oki C7500 toner cartridges to be a little expensive. The way to avoid the high costs of genuine cartridges is to buy compatible Oki
laser toner at a fraction of the cost.
