Lexmark X3430 Printer Review
Though this inkjet printer is no longer in production, the Lexmark X3430 still has a number of the modern features that small and home offices are looking for. It is compact, affordable, simple to set up and operate, and versatile. In fact, the X3430 can perform three functions in black-and-white or color: copying, scanning, and printing.
Designed to handle the printing of up to 1,000 pages each month, this unit is ideal for low-volume businesses or homes. It has a rectangular shape and sleek, white frame that measures 6x14.8x12.4 inches. With only one Lexmark X3430 ink cartridge required for operation, the machine weighs just 9 pounds. Any small desk or table should be able to hold it comfortably.
Only three colors of Lexmark X3430 are used in this machine, cyan, magenta, and yellow, which will combine to make black amongst an array of other colors. Having only a single Lexmark X3430 ink cartridge to replace will minimize operational costs, but each one only yields 185 pages. Users that print frequently may be replacing the printer ink often. Fortunately, some third-party vendors offer remanufactured versions of the Lexmark X3430 ink at a lower price than the OEM versions.
Compatible with Windows operating systems only, the X3430 can be connected via USB 2.0 interface, or images can be loaded directly from a digital camera through the PictBridge port or from memory cards through the open card-reading slots on the front of the unit. Ethernet and wireless are optional upgrades. The basic control panel has a few buttons and a 1-line LCD for accessing settings and changing functions.
Up to 17 pages per minute can be printed, while as many as 12 copies can be made in a minute. The scanner is a flatbed surface and offers a 48-bit color depth, perfect for restoring old photographs at an interpolated resolution of 19200x19200 dpi. The maximum resolution for printed pages is 1200x1200 dpi for black-and-white and 4800x1200 dpi for color. Various media types can be printed on, including labels, transparencies, and photo paper.

Warranty for Compatible/Remanufactured Products
Based on our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, we will accept returns of compatible or remanufactured ink and toner cartridges for full credit if the returned product has a valid return authorization number and is received in our warehouse within 6 months of the original shipping date. If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.
We will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
