The T650 is a fast device that can print at a maximum rate of 45 pages per minute on Letter and 43 pages per minute on A4 paper. With such fast rates, toners that contribute to low running costs and high-capacity features, the machine is a beneficial choice for medium to large workgroups.

The unit does well in expert reviews overall, but it does suffer from a mediocre text output despite included pixel-boosting print technology. Its maximum resolution is 1200x1200 dpi using black Lexmark T650 printer toner that will suit basic monochrome projects and internal use. When it comes time to print a document the T650 base model includes only a direct USB port, though the upgraded models include networking.

If users can look past spotty text output, elements like an easy-to-use control panel, an intelligent job waiting feature that can hold a project to be printed later, and flexible paper handling make it ideal for busy workgroups. The device is fitted with a standard media capacity of 350 sheets that can be increased to a total of 4,000 pages with the addition of extra paper drawers. Even with these impressive elements the unit has a decently compact size of 16x19x13 inches.

Its expandability doesn't end with paper handling, but also includes black Lexmark T650 toner cartridge replacements that are available in standard and high-capacity forms. The high-capacity Lexmark T650 toner cartridge can yield up to 25,000 pages and has a more economical cost per page than the 7,000-page standard supply.

The numerous configurations available make the T650 a versatile choice for a variety of office environments. While output quality isn't up to par compared to the standards of its class, the T650 is a suitable monochrome printer for large-volume workgroups.
