The Konica Minolta PagePro 1390MF is a monochrome laser printer that offers printing, scanning, copying and faxing for the small office. With a monthly duty cycle of 15,000 pages, it will fit the needs of many offices quite well. Its size of 19.4x18.3x21.5 inches will be a little bulky, but it should still fit onto most desk spaces. It won't be easy to lift with its weight of nearly 30 pounds with the
Konica-Minolta toner installed, but it does offer a standard memory of 48 MB.
One Konica Minolta 1390MF toner cartridge is needed for standard use. Using this one
toner cartridge, the copier can produce 20 copies per minute, while the printer can print up to 21 pages per minute. Using the PagePro 1390MF toner, resolutions as high as 600x600 and 1200x600 can be produced for copying and printing, respectively. There are three different capacities of toners offered that are compatible with this multifunction unit. One yields up to 3,000 pages, one can yield 6,000 pages and one can produce as many as 20,000 pages.
The Konica Minolta 1390MF
laser toner cartridge can print decent quality documents on an array of media including transparencies, labels, cards, envelopes and plain paper. Photo paper is not supported by the 1390MF.
According to user reviews, the 1390 has decent speeds and quality for an affordable price. Users love its compact size and lightweight. The automatic document feeder is a major upside to buying it, but although many love it, there are some who have problems with it too. Some have found that the fax doesn't work as well as promised, and a few have complained about set up problems. Paper jams are frequent, and according to users, replacement PagePro 1390MF toner cartridges are somewhat expensive. Editors of PC Magazine give it a fair review of 2.5 out of 5 saying that speed was its best attribute but the quality of Konica-Minolta 1390MF toner was its downfall.
