Although the model is sometimes referred to as the 2500W, it does not include wireless networking, as models from other manufacturers denote with a "W". Instead, it connects directly to a PC via USB cable. Once connected, the software controls most of the machine's functions, since the sparse control panel offers very little control. Sadly, this model does not support Mac or Linux platforms.
Paper capacity is surprising, given the affordable price and small design of the machine, at 200 pages. The unit supports multiple media types as well, including envelopes, labels, postcards and transparencies among others, up to a maximum size of 8.25x11.7 inches.
Print speed is a major factor in most buyers' decision, and the 2500 doesn't disappoint. It prints at up to 20 pages per minute for black and 5 pages per minute for color. Its 32 MB of RAM allows it to handle complex print jobs with ease, and the 2400x600 dpi resolution produces great-looking prints.
