Konica Minolta 2210 Printer Review
The Konica-Minolta 2210 color laser printer is designed for the small or medium office environments. It has fast printing speeds and built-in networking, allowing it to handle a large number of users very well. It is also expandable to meet the needs of a growing office.
The Minolta QMS 2210 color laser printer, also referred to as the Konica-Minolta magicolor 2210GN and similar to the Konica-Minolta 2430 toner printer, isn't the most compact printer in its class, but it manages to fit a lot of functionality into a relatively small design. The unit measures 20.1 inches by 18.2 inches by 21.3 inches, so its footprint remains fairly small. It weighs a hefty 103 pounds, so users shouldn't expect to move it around often.
Despite its impressive feature set right out of the box, it also has many options for expansion. Initial paper capacity is 650 sheets, with 500 sheets in the main tray and 150 sheets in a multipurpose tray. This can be expanded to a maximum of 1,150 sheets as needs grow. A number of sorting and finishing options are available, and users can even add a copying and scanning unit, turning it into a multifunction machine comparible to the LaserJet 2840 toner printer.
Konica-Minolta 2210 toner cartridges are the standard array of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Each black printer toner cartridge has a capacity of 6,000 pages, and each color laser toner cartridge has a capacity of 6,000 pages as well. Magicolor 2210 toner cartridges are easy to access and replace, though they are a bit more expensive than competing models, such as teh Oki C5150 toner.
Print speed for monochrome printing is quite fast, at around 20 pages per minute, but printing in color is a bit on the slow side, at only 5 pages per minute. Print quality is excellent in both monochrome and color, with some of the best color prints available.
Overall, the Minolta QMS 2210 is a great choice for a small or medium office expecting to grow in the future. Its excellent quality and good printing speeds are impressive.
