HP CM2320 Printer Review

The HP LaserJet CM2320 is an excellent color laser multifunction printer with fast speeds and a number of useful functions, though its segmented design takes up more room than it should. Small or medium office environments will appreciate its intuitive features and its low price, as well as inexpensive HP CM2320 toner costs. If the price for the printer is a little more than you want to spend, consider the HP CM1312 toner printer, which has virtually all the same features and costs less with the only downside being slightly slower print speeds.

The machine comes in a few different flavors to cater to the needs of different buyers. The CM2320 is the base model and the CM2320n adds networking capabilities, allowing it to act as a fairly robust shared laser printer. The CM2320nf and CM2320fxi add paper-handling abilities and extra capacity to the mix. The availability of different configurations should appeal to those with a small budget especially, as they can purchase the base model for a very low cost while still getting the benefit of its fast performance and quality without the extra cost of unneeded features.

Speaking of performance, the unit can print at up to 21 pages per minute for both monochrome and color printing. It can print, scan and copy, and the 50-page automatic document feeder makes it easy to scan multiple pages quickly.

As mentioned, the machine has a segmented design in that the scanning unit is detached from the printing unit in such a way that it seems to be stacked on top of it. This doesn't look particularly bad, but it adds extra height that might have been unnecessary. As it stands, the unit measures 21.7 inches by 19.6 inches by 19.4 inches and weighs 59.1 pounds with the HP toner installed.

HP CM2320 toner cartridges are some of the least expensive compared to similar products. This can be very significant, as printer toner makes up the bulk of ongoing costs. The large capacity of LaserJet CM2320 toner cartridges also ensures users won't need to replace toners often. Third-party compatible LaserJet CM2320 toner is always an option for keeping costs even lower.

The HP CM2320 has many excellent functions under its hood, and as long as buyers don't mind its tall design, it is a great choice for a small or medium office. A low upfront price and inexpensive HP CM2320 toner make for a great value.
