PROBLEM:
On the HP Color LaserJet 1600, HP 2600n and HP 2605 toner printers, the printer grabs a sheet of paper from both tray 1 (single-sheet manual feed slot) and tray 2 for a print job.

SOLUTION:

• This can occur when you send the print job to the printer and then put paper in tray 1. Instead, make sure you have paper in tray 1 before you send the print job.
• The paper you had in tray 1 was not inserted far enough into the slot and the printer did not detect the paper. When the print job starts, it grabs paper from tray 2 and the paper passes through the same path as the paper being fed from tray 1 and this can cause the partially fed paper in tray 1 to be grabbed by the rollers.
• Tray 1 only supports one page at a time. Do not put multiple sheets of paper on tray 1.
