The Epson WorkForce Pro 4540 is most suitable for office needs, offering users a multipurpose printer, scanner, fax machine and copier for an affordable price tag. One of the inkjet unit's best received elements is its speeds, printing close to the estimated maximum of 16 pages per minute for monochrome documents and 11 pages per minute for color, to beat most comparable printers. With very few features to complain about, the 4540 offers both versatility and low running costs, thanks to affordable WorkForce Pro 4540 printer ink.

One issue with the 4540 is its size, measuring over 18x25x18 inches to be one of the largest inkjet printers in its class. Such a size leaves room for its ample set of features, including a large front panel that includes a 5.8-inch LCD for progress reports, a keypad for fax dialing, buttons for menus access and an LED to alert users when Epson 4540 printer ink is near expiring.
