The Epson Stylus NX305 is an affordable solution for buyers that want to bring the convenience of multifunction printing, scanning, copying and faxing features to the home. This inkjet device is best fit for light-duty use due to ISO print speeds of approximately 4 pages per minute for monochrome documents and 2 pages per minute for color. Other than its low-yielding Stylus NX305 printer ink and slow speeds, however, this machine offers a decent range of features for its low price tag.

Each of the NX305's functions has flexible features, including automatic redial for faxing, a 30-sheet automatic document feeder for quick continuous scans and adjustable reduction and enlargement settings for copies. Many features can be accessed through the unit's easy-to-use control panel, which has a full number pad, a monochrome LCD for status updates, buttons for monochrome and color copying and a navigation pad to scroll through menu options. The device also has an on-par output for text documents, with a sharp maximum resolution of 5760x1440 dpi using black Stylus NX305 ink.

The unit uses individual black, magenta, cyan and yellow Epson NX305 ink cartridges that have standard yields of up to 200 pages for each color supply and 170 pages for each black supply. Those looking to boost their daily workflow can opt for the high-capacity black Epson NX305 ink cartridges that can last a maximum of 410 pages.

Furthering its all-in-one design to include a photo printing feature makes the NX305 a nice addition to homes with a variety of projects. For quality, versatility and a nice bundle of features, this inkjet printer is one of the better selections in its class of home units, but its limited capacity could be an issue for some buyers.
