The Epson Stylus NX127 is a compact personal inkjet printer with a flatbed scanner and digital copier. It can print professional text documents as well as borderless color photographs that are true-to-life and vivid. The DURABrite Ultra pigment Epson NX127 ink is resistant to fading, smudging, and water damage, and creates photographs that can remain in good condition for over 100 years.

The copier can make up to 20 duplicates per original and the flatbed scanner (which has a 48-bit color depth) can scan at an interpolated resolution of 9600x9600 dpi. An automatic image editor is built into the device that will restore old faded photographs and remove flaws, such as red eyes. The enhanced resolution of 5760x1440 dpi will produce pictures with accurate color schemes and brightness equal to a photo developed in a lab.

Cyan, yellow, magenta, and black Epson NX127 ink is used in this unit and creates a massive color palette that creates pictures that are true-to-life. This pigment printer ink is designed to dry instantly, and dots of Stylus NX127 ink as small as 4 picoliters are ejected onto the canvas and layered using the drop-on-demand technology. This printing format allows inkjet technology to reach resolutions that cannot be obtained by standard laser printers.

The sleek, black, compact frame of approximately 17x19x10 inches holds two Epson NX127 ink cartridges, which hold four colors of printer ink. It also features a 100-sheet input tray that supports various paper sizes and media types including, but not limited to, envelopes and photo paper. To set up this device, it is as simple as plugging in the power cord, connecting a Windows or Mac computer via USB port, and installing the black and tricolor Stylus NX127 ink cartridges.

Though the Epson Stylus NX127 can generate high-end quality prints, it does leave something to be desired in speed, which will not surpass 3 pages per minute. This may not be a great choice for a busy office, but micro or home offices will benefit greatly from its versatility and affordability.
