When printing business documents, the Dell 924 ink can produce up to 20 pages per minute, but it really excels when printing photos and can produce a 4x6 photo in just over a minute, which is better than most comparable ink, such as Brother LC41Y ink.

Its compact design makes this a good size printer for most desk spaces and can hold 100 sheets of paper in an upright feeder. The print resolution is 4800 x 1200 dpi and the scanner resolution 19200 x 19200 dpi. The Dell 924 inkjet cartridges come in one tri-color tank and one black tank. However, you can also replace these two ink cartridges with the optional Dell 924 ink cartridge for photos to produce deeper, richer, six-color results. Other models don't have this feature, like HP 901 Tricolor ink can not be changed.

To help you edit and create all of your high quality photos and graphics, the printer comes packaged with Dell's Picture Studio software and Paint Shop Photo Album. You can also purchase an optional wireless printer adapter for wireless printing and scanning. The Dell 924 is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista and uses Optical Character Recognition so that you can scan documents and then edit them in a word-processing application.

The Dell 924 inkjet is a very good photo printer for a low cost and its all-in-one functions are useful in any home office setting. Some users note issues with paper jams from the feeder, but using a high quality paper should limit this problem.
