While its price is a bit high, the Dell 2155cn is by no means the most expensive color laser all-in-one printer on the market, and it may still be a good value for some buyers. This series of printers has a few different models that increase in price based on added features. The 2155cdn, for example has the convenience of networking and a built-in duplexer for double-sided printing. All models advertise a maximum print rate of 24 pages per minute, which seems adequate for its target use for smaller offices.


The machine is fairly flexible when it comes to media handling, accepting envelopes, labels, coated and cover paper among others. It provides a standard 250-sheet input tray and there is an optional tray that can expand the total paper capacity to 501 pages for an additional cost. There is also a 35-sheet automatic document feeder to handle large scan and fax jobs, though it is limited to single-sided scanning.

The unit uses 4 separate colors of cyan, magenta, yellow and black Dell 2155cn toner cartridges. An available high-capacity black supply with a maximum yield of 6,000 pages is fairly impressive. Each color Dell 2155cn toner cartridge can last for around 2,500 pages.

With high-capacity toners and high-quality monochrome output, the 2155cn is an impressive device with the added ability for producing occasional full-color documents. It may not be the least expensive or even the most compact, but this laser printer is a suitable choice for small or mid-size workgroups.
