Looking over the specifications of the 1710, one might expect it to be much larger, but in fact, it is a very compact machine. It measures 9.7 inches by 15.6 inches by 14 inches and weighs only 22.5 pounds with the Dell toner. Even home users with tight spaces should find it to be a good fit. It includes a 366 MHz processor and 16 MB of RAM, which handles most of the processing without bogging down the host computer.
