The Canon PC880 laser copier is designed for the home or small office user. It has fast copy speeds, zero warmup time and produces excellent quality copies. Some users might prefer an all-in-one machine, however, like the Samsung CLX-3160 that features Samsung CLP-C300A toner.

The Canon PC880 laser copier might seem simple at first glance, as a basic personal copy machine. Digging a little deeper, however, users will find a lot of unexpected touches that make it a great choice for users who need a dedicated copy machine. It has a paper capacity of 250 sheets, so it won't have to be reloaded often. Zoom levels from 70% to 141% are supported. The machine also require no warmup time, so it is ready to go the instant it is turned on. This is a major benefit over larger units that can take minutes before ready to copy. Combined with its auto-shutoff feature, this means the unit will consume very little power, and users don't have to worry about delays when waking the machine.

The unit has only a flatbed scanner, with no automatic document feeder. This will likely be enough for its intended user base, but an ADF would have been a convenient feature.

The copier toner cartridge combines the toner, drum, and cleaner into a single laser toner cartridge, for added convenience.
