Canon C2880 Printer Review

The Canon imageRUNNER C2880 is a multi-functioning color laser copier built for large workloads. Weighing 256 pounds, this machine is best suited for large offices. It comes with 80 GB of memory and an automatic document feeder, and it can even hold up to 4,950 pages of paper in its input trays. The C2880 is compatible with Windows and Mac operating system and only connects via ethernet port.

In order to use this unit, you are going to need four Canon C2880 toner cartridges, and the Canon toner colors are black, cyan, yellow and magenta. The black printer toner will last you 26,000 pages, while the color imageRUNNER C2880 toner cartridges will last 14,000 pages. Surprisingly, these high yielding toners are very affordable and easy to find. Many media types are supported by this laser machine, and it can print on plain paper, photo paper, envelopes, labels, transparencies and photo paper. Most sizes of each are supported as well.

When using the Canon C2880 toner, it is possible to reach resolutions as high as 1200x1200 dpi when copying, but the highest scanning and printing resolution is 600x600 dpi. These resolutions will leave documents looking very sharp and precise. Up to 999 copies can be made from an original document, and the first page out time is only 8.9 seconds for black-and-white prints and 5.9 seconds for color prints. Using the imageRUNNER C2880 toner, up to 28 pages per minute can be printed or copied. It can reduce and enlarge documents anywhere from 25%-400% of their original documents, and it has halftones up to 256 gradations.

For those who would like to make printing even more affordable, remanufactured toner is available. These versions are much less expensive than OEM versions of printer toner, and they can create the same high resolutions and last the same amount of pages.
