Canon 2200 Printer Review
The Canon imageRUNNER 2200 comes with laser copying and scanning capabilities in its standard configuration, but users can also configure it with network printing and faxing, or add them later. With a maximum speed of 22 pages per minute, it isn't the fastest in its class, but its large monthly duty cycle and affordable Canon 2200 printer toner are worth it for large offices that don't mind sacrificing a bit on speed.
The 2200 is ready for heavy-duty workloads, starting out with a 1,050-sheet input paper capacity, and upgradeable to a maximum of 4,550 sheets with additional trays. It even has the option for a separate envelope feeder. With a maximum monthly duty cycle of 75,000 pages, it has a lot of room to grow.
The base model comes with only a flatbed scanner, so many buyers should consider adding the optional 50-sheet automatic document feeder at a minimum, for faster scanning. Adding network connectivity is recommended as well, so that users can take advantage of features like network scanning and file sharing. Although the maximum optical resolution for imageRUNNER 2200 toner is 600x600 dpi, an interpolated resolution of 1200x600 dpi when copying and 2400x600 dpi when printing can provide sharper results than expected.
Replacement toners won't be a constant headache, as Canon 2200 toner cartridges have a yield of up to 15,000 pages. Along with an affordable price, even for the OEM versions of imageRUNNER 2200 toner cartridges, they have a very low cost per page that can save an office a lot of money.
The 2200 is somewhat limited on output speed, but buyers should still find it appealing for its low purchase price, affordable Canon 2200 toner, and numerous customization options. Its large duty cycle gives an office a lot of room for expansion.
