Canon PC-D320 Printer Review
Built with small office users in mind, the Canon PC-D320 is a monochrome laser copier that will surely impress. Compatible with Windows operating system only, it is a little limiting, but for those with Windows, it will be a great bet. It can connect via USB or parallel port, and it faxes, prints, scans and copies. Literally everything your office will need is packed into this one compact machine.
Its weight of 18.1 pounds will make it very easy to lift and move around when needed, especially when the fact that it is four machines in one is considered. Its dimensions of 15.8x13.7x14.1 inches make it an easy fit around the office too, taking up barely any room at all. One downside, though, is its lack of automatic duplex printing. It also lacks an automatic document feeder, which may be a drawback as well. When it comes to fancy features, this little machine is a little disappointing.
The fax has a transmission speed of 14.4 Kbps, and has G3 compatibility. It also comes standard with PC faxing. Print and copy speed for the machine is 14 pages per minute, which is pretty good for the very low upfront price. Using the one Canon PC-D320 toner cartridge, resolutions as high as 1200x600 dpi are available. The largest size of paper compatible with the unit is 8.5x14 inches, but many different media types are supported.
Because this is a monochrome unit, you are only going to need only one Canon PC-D320 toner cartridge filled with black printer toner. The black Canon PC-D320 toner can yield 3,500 pages before running out. That means you won't have to replace the printer toner cartridge very often, like you might have to with some of the competition. The printer toner is both easy to find and easy to replace, and remanufactured toners are always available for a better price.
