Canon CLI-226M Magenta High Capacity Ink Cartridge (4548B001) - Compatible

The new compatible CLI-226M ink cartridge is the magenta cartridge is a series of 5. Its slim design makes it very easy to install, as does the smart LED light that indicates when the cartridge is properly recognized or is empty. It weighs just 1.1 ounces, and is rated for up to 510 pages based on 5% page coverage.

Prepare your new CLI-226M cartridge first by taking it out of the box and removing it from its plastic bag. Find the strip of yellow tape at the top of the cartridge and pull to remove it. Pry the small plastic handle away from the orange plastic protector right before you install the cartridge.

To remove the empty cartridge, start with the printer turned on and the paper tray open. Lift up from inside the opening to raise the printer’s top cover. The cartridge carrier will move to the center automatically to give you better access. Look for the empty Canon CLI-226M cartridge marked “M” for magenta. Press backward on the small handle at the front of the cartridge to release it upward, then lift the cartridge out of the opening.

Slide your replacement CLI-226M cartridge into the opening with the front end tilted downward, then press it down from the top to click it firmly into place. Verify the LED stays lit, then close the top cover of the printer.

The CLI-226M cartridge is compatible with several Canon models. Photo printers such as the iP4820 and iP4920 support the cartridge, as well as the iX6520 and iX6550 models. Also compatible are multifunction models like the MG5120 through MG8220 series, and the MX712 through MX892 series.
