Canon BJC-5000 Printer Review
Built with small businesses and home business owners in mind, the Canon BJC5000 printer was the introductory model of this series of printers. A little larger than its predecessors, it is still small enough to fit on a desktop. The Canon BJC500 ink output speeds are faster at 7.5 pages per minute in black and 3 pages per minute for color. This capability moves this printer up a notch from earlier models like the BJC4000 series, which share the same ink supplies that are rated higher than other types like Brother LC51Y ink.
Weighing in at 11.6 pounds and dimensions of 19.6 x 11.0 x 8.74 inches, the BJC5000 is compact and lightweight but heavy with features. Resolution has increased to 720 x 720 dpi providing even sharper text and color prints. By using special high resolution paper, 1440 x 720 dpi can be achieved. Media versatility is a highlight of this machine, as it will pretty much print on all types of standard 8.5-inch width stock and with a little effort 11 x 17-inches can be fed and printed from the back. The Canon BJC5000 ink cartridges are common to many Canon models, such as Canon PGI-35 ink. Black page yield is 900 pages, color makes up to 100 pages while the BJC5000 makes about 50 nice photos.
Users of Windows and Mac platforms will have no problems setting up. This is a sturdy unit that cranks jobs out efficiently without trouble. As with most printers of this time, a Parallel IEEE 1284 is used. A software pack is provided to enhance and edit photo projects. Reasonably priced Canon BJC5000 inkjet cartridges round out the benefits of this printer, though other types of ink are less expensive, such as HP 88 Black ink.

Warranty for Compatible/Remanufactured Products
Based on our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, we will accept returns of compatible or remanufactured ink and toner cartridges for full credit if the returned product has a valid return authorization number and is received in our warehouse within 6 months of the original shipping date. If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.
We will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
