Canon 1060 Printer Review
If your office's priority is excellent faxing capabilities and great prints, the Canon 1060 laser printer might be just the model you need. It is designed with the small office in mind, but delivers the performance and quality one would expect from a larger machine. Its cost is low, and in general Canon toner cartridges are very affordable.
The Canon 1060P is a very capable fax machine, able to transmit or receive at Super G3 speeds up to 33.6 Kbps, but it can also slow down transmission to accommodate slower machines. With a 600 dpi resolution, it is possible to produce sharp faxes as well. There is also a handset for making or receiving calls. This is a feature not often included in small office machines and is a nice bonus for the price.
Printing is also impressive. The unit can print at up to 6 pages per minute, and the 600 dpi printing engine produces clean and sharp prints. It can even make basic copies, up to 99 at a time, and the 100-sheet paper capacity means less refilling paper. The unit measures 9.9 inches by 14.6 inches by 14.6 inches and weighs 24.3 pounds.
Using the same toner for all functions makes printer toner much more economical. The Canon 1060 toner cartridges are inexpensive, and the 2,700 page capacity of Canon 1060 toner cartridges makes the cost per page very low.
Environmental concerns are addressed as well, as the machine is Energy Star compliant, reducing power consumption and saving on energy costs. Canon also offers a cartridge recycling program, which eliminates some of the waste associated with cartridges.
As an affordable machine that can save on operating costs, the Canon 1060 is very impressive. Its low upfront cost, energy savings and the affordability of Canon 1060 toner make it a very economical machine.
