Brother MFC-7400C Printer Review
The Brother MFC-7400C is a color inkjet that has nearly all the functions and features an office user would need in a very compact and affordable package. Without the higher cost associated with a laser model, it still offers fast speeds and low cost ink cartridges, thanks to affordable Brother MFC-7400C ink.
The MFC-7400C can print, scan, copy and fax. Faxing and copying work very well in standalone without a computer, making it a versatile machine for when users only need these features. PC Faxing is also supported, which allows users to send a fax directly from a computer as simply as printing a document. This saves time and supplies.
The unit measures 8.5 inches by 16.8 inches by 13.5 inches and weighs 14.3 pounds with the Brother ink cartridges installed, making it one of the smallest multifunction machines in its class. Faxing speeds are 14.4 Kbps, and the 30-page automatic document feeder makes it easy to send multiple pages at once. Maximum scanning resolution is 600 dpi, with a 2400 dpi enhanced mode providing even better quality. Print speeds are around 12 pages per minute for black and 10 pages per minute for color, which is quite impressive for the price. The machine connects via USB or parallel.
Printer ink prices are lower than average for an inkjet unit, as Brother MFC-7400C ink cartridges are very affordably-priced. The smaller capacity of Brother MFC-7400C ink cartridges does give them a higher cost per page than some in its class, however. Overall, Brother MFC-7400C ink prices are very reasonable like the Brother MFC-490CW ink.
For the home or small office user who needs serious functionality but doesn't have the space or the budget for a large model, the Brother MFC-7400C should fit the bill quite nicely. Its affordable price and excellent feature set are very impressive, and print quality is much better than expected.

Warranty for Compatible/Remanufactured Products
Based on our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, we will accept returns of compatible or remanufactured ink and toner cartridges for full credit if the returned product has a valid return authorization number and is received in our warehouse within 6 months of the original shipping date. If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.
We will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
