Considering it combines a scanner, printer, and copier in one machine, the Brother DCP-9010 is surprisingly compact and relatively easy to move. Weighing about 50 pounds and with a footprint of about 17x19x16 inches, this all-in-one laser device will take up minimal space in the office. Users have the option of connecting through a high-speed USB 2.0 port or via the built-in ethernet interface. The DCP-9010, which is also referred to as the DCP-9101CN, is also compatible with the Brother iPrint&iScan application that allows print jobs to be sent from mobile devices.

The user-friendly control panel consists of a series of buttons that allow stand-alone copying and customization. The copy feature has resizing options and an automatic sorter for large jobs. The maximum copy resolution is 600x600 dpi, while the printing function can reach up to 600x2400 dpi. When scanning, the interpolated maximum resolution is an impressive 19200x19200 dpi and scans can be sent to various locations, including emails and files.

The package will include setup and user guides, a power supply, and starter Brother DCP-9010 toner cartridges that can yield up to 1,000 pages. When any of these toners are running low, a notification will be shown on the 2-line LCD display. Replacement Brother DCP-9010 toner cartridges can be found from numerous online vendors and yield 1,400 pages for cyan, yellow, and magenta, and 2,200 pages for the black supply. The drum unit for this machine can handle up to 15,000 prints. For high-volume users, it may be beneficial to the budget to purchase compatible Brother DCP-9010 printer toner, which is almost half as expensive as the OEM versions.

The modular memory gives users the opportunity to increase the capabilities of the DCP-9010. A solid 64 MB are provided, but up to 512 MB can be added as needed.
